CSA

Please Note: We’re currently accepting members for the 2015 season! Sign up now to secure your spot and take advantage of our “Early Bird” rates. Contribution amounts listed will rise after December 31st, 2014 -- last year we reached our farm’s capacity in March.

CSA (Community Supported Agriculture) at Three Sisters Community Farm is unique. We believe that when farmers and members work together to support the farm as a whole the result is happier, more satisfied members, more fairly compensated farmers, and more nutritious and tasty food.

Members of Three Sisters contribute towards each year’s budget (see our 2014 budget here, and observe our progress in meeting it in the sidebar). We offer several farm share options, outlined below. All members enjoy the option to fully customize the contents of their box through our online “U-pick” website, as well as to purchase additional quality products (like eggs, honey, bulk produce and meat) from the farm, or occasionally from farmers we know and trust, at fair prices. All shares are delivered on Thursday afternoons.

3. Whole Farm Share

Our first year offering this unique option – one in which members contribute more to the whole farm in exchange for the freedom to take what they like, in whatever quantity needed – was a great success. We plan to make some small changes to this option and have more details here before the end of the year. Preference for the Whole Farm Share is reserved for current or past members of the farm. If you’re considering this option and have questions before we update the site, give us a holler.

4. Winter Share
Our popular winter share includes a mix of seasonal fresh greens and storage crops. Delivery to your home or office commences at the end of October and runs every other week until mid-December, for a total of four deliveries. Sign up in 2015.

Additional options and discounts

Volunteer farmwork. Members who choose to work one four-hour farm shift receive an additional box of produce for their help. Work as many shifts as you’d like. Shift times are Tuesday afternoon, Wednesday morning and afternoon, and Saturday morning, and you’ll need to sign up beforehand. We'll be in touch for shift sign-up before the season starts.

Worker Share. In 2015 we hope to expand the number of positions available for those committed volunteers willing to come out to the farm (or offer other relevant skills) each week at regular work times (see "Volunteer Farmwork"). In exchange, volunteers receive the benefits of the Weekly Farm Share. Contact us if you're interested and to arrange an interview.

Flexible payment. We accept cash, check or (new for 2015!) payment thru DWOLLA, and offer the option to pay all at once or in installments of at least $100/month. The full price of your share must be received by the date of the first delivery. Please contact us if you’d like to pay in installments.
